What we do

Five ways a communitywalks together.

Walk Her Story rolls out nationally in 2026 through five interconnected programmes. Each is survivor-centred, community-led, and partner-supported.

Community

Community walks

Public walks in every province — gathering neighbours, remembering survivors, refusing silence. A simple, repeatable ritual that turns a community into a movement.

Healing

Survivor-led healing circles

Safe, facilitated spaces where survivors lead their own recovery. Trained facilitators hold space without centring the helper — the circle belongs to the circle.

Prevention

School-based programmes

Age-appropriate curricula, teacher training, and safe-to-report channels in participating schools — building consent, respect, and accountability from early years.

Voice

Digital storytelling

A growing archive of survivor voices — shared on their terms, with their words, protecting their dignity. Stories change what statistics alone cannot.

Coaction

Impact partnerships

Aligning with sport, faith, and civic organisations — including FootGolf South Africa — to build safer environments at scale. Every partner brings reach we don't have alone.

Coming 2026

More as we grow.

Our programmes will expand as communities tell us what they need. If your organisation has an idea or a need, we want to hear it.
