Storytelling

The pen belongsto the one who lived it.

Storytelling is one of the four pillars of Walk Her Story. Every story here is shared with the survivor's explicit consent, on their terms, and in their voice.

Our editorial promise

Consent first. Always.

  • No story is shared without the survivor’s explicit, informed, ongoing consent.
  • Survivors choose their level of identification — name, initials, or anonymous.
  • Survivors can withdraw or edit their story at any time.
  • No images, audio, or video without separate, specific consent.
  • Walk Her Story holds no copyright. The story stays the survivor’s.

From the founder

Why we tell stories at all.

“Walk Her Story is a national call for healing — for women, for children, and for communities who have carried the weight of silence for too long.”
— Eric Mlambo, Founder of Footprints Foundation
